The series that first introduced the Montecito Hotel to our screens, ‘Las Vegas’ features storylines centring around the team operating the hotel. They include mundane tasks such as valet parking issues, restaurant management, and casino security amidst the more dramatic episodes. With many instalments following lead character Ed Deline, an ex-CIA officer working as Head of Security at the Montecito, ‘Las Vegas’ often managed to include a surprising amount of action and intrigue in its plots.

The Montecito became a pivotal location in science-fiction drama ‘Heroes’, and was owned by the eccentric and cold-blooded businessman Mr Linderman. Though the villainous Mr Linderman was often mentioned but rarely seen in episodes of the series, the Montecito was chosen by hero Nathan Petrelli as one of the best hotels in Las Vegas to stay at while he visits contacts, campaigning to become a New York Congressman. Monk

The detective comedy based around the cases of obsessive-compulsive investigator Adrian Monk holds the record for the most-watched scripted drama episode in cable television history for it’s finale in 2009.
